A RESOLUTION authorizing the City Manager and the City Clerk of Yakima
to execute a Quit Claim Deed to release an easement across property
owned by Robert Dolsen.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima, in conjunction with a new short plat,
acquired an easement on July 15, 1991, across the property of Robert
Dolsen, for the purpose of installing and maintaining a fire hydrant; and
WHEREAS, the fire hydrant in question was subsequently installed
in a different location thereby canceling the need for the easement; and
WHEREAS, the property owner has requested that the City release
this easement; and
WHEREAS, the existing irrigation easement will be expanded to five
feet in width and maintained by a new grant of easement to be concluded
concurrently with this release; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of
the City that the easement be vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
YAKIMA: Upon receipt by the City Clerk, for a valid deed conveying to the
City of Yakima an easement for irrigation line purposes across the
following described property: The East 5 feet of Lot 6, Leaming's Addition
to North Yakima, (now Yakima) as recorded in Volume "A" of plats, page
71, records of Yakima County, Washington, the City Manager and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a "Quit
Claim Deed," a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a
part hereof.

2. Insure that qualified minority, and women's businesses are solicited whenever they are
potential sources of services or supplies;
3. Divide the total requirements, when economically feasible into smaller tasks or quanti-
ties to permit maximum participation by qualified minority, and women's business;
4. Establish delivery schedules, where requirements of the work permit, which will en-
courage participation of qualified minonty and women's business; and
5. Use the services and assistance of the state Office of Minority and Woman Owned -
Business, and the Office of Minority Business Enterprises of the U.S. Department of
Commerce as appropriate.
