A RESOLUTION: declaring certain Fire Department vehicles and
equipment surplus and authorizing the sale
thereof by the City of Yakima Fire Chief.
WHEREAS, the Yakima Fire Department has accumulated
equipment and vehicles which are no longer necessary, now or in
the future, for the operation of the Yakima Fire Department and
are surplus to the needs of the department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima wishes to dispose of the
aforementioned equipment and vehicles in a commercially
reasonable manner, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
1. The attached and incorporated 'Surplus Inventory" list
is hereby declared to be surplus property of the City of Yakima
for which there is no foreseeable need.
2. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the
City of Yakima Fire Chief to sell the equipment and vehicles
listed on the incorporated °Surplus Inventory" list at the
prices indicated thereon or at such other prices and terms which
the City of Yakima Fire Chief may deem to be commercially
reasonable.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this day of October, 1992.
