RESOLUTION NO.. •
A RESOLUTION: denying rezone and subdivision application submitted by KKR
Development/Ron Knight.
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1992, the Hearing Examiner conducted a public
hearing regarding the request by KKR Development/Ron Knight for the rezone
of a 5.74 acre parcel from R-1 to R-2 and a twenty lot subdivision to be developed
in three phases; and
WHEREAS, the Examiner recommended approval of the application subject
to certain conditions; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1992, the City Council conducted a public meeting
to consider the decision by the Hearing Examiner recommending approval of the
rezone and subdivision application; and
WHEREAS, on September 1, 1992, the City Council held a public hearing to
consider additional testimony regarding the proposal by KKR Development/Ron
Knight; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the testimony at the public hearing,
the adequacy of public facilities, the public need for the proposed change, and all
records, documents, and files, including the Hearing Examiner's Recommendation,
together with comments from interested agencies and departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council found that the property in question is not
suitable for the uses permitted under the proposed zoning, that the proposed
rezone is not in compliance with the goals and policies as adopted in the Yakima
Urban Area Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance, that the proposed rezone
was incompatible with associated uses and neighboring land uses, and that there
has been no change in circumstances or conditions which warrants a zoning
change, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.. OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The rezone and subdivision application submitted by KKR
Development/Ron Knight is hereby denied.
