HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1992-D6116 Amending D-5985 / PropertyRESOLUTION NO. 1) 116 A RESOLUTION ,amending Resolution No. D-5985 in order to in- drease the'total aggregate purchase price of land for the Downtown Transit Transfer Facility from $500,000.00 to ;692,000.00. WHEREAS, on October 10, 1989, the City Council by Resolu- tion No. D-5646 authorized the execution of an agreement with Hall Engineering Associates for the study of a Central Business District Transit Transfer Facility; and WHEREAS, the Citv Council has determined that the Transit Transfer Facility should be located on South 4th Street be- tween Walnut Street and Chestnut Street; and WHEREAS, on August 6, 1991 the City Council by Resolution No. D-5985 authorized the City Manager and City Clerk to execute purchase and sale agreements with seven landowners to acquire property for the Transit Transfer Facility; and WHEREAS, the City has to date acquired five out of the ten parcels needed for the Transit Transfer Facility; and t,:l'EREAS, unforeseen delays in the land acquisition pro - have resulted in increased land acquisition costs, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute real estate purchase and sale agreements as previously authorized in Resolution No. D-5985 adopted by City Council on August 6, 1991 for the Downtown Transit Trans- fer Facility; provided, however, that the total aggregate purchase price for said land acquisitions is hereby increased from $500,000.00 to an amount not to exceed $692,000.00. A11 Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreements must be approved as to form by the City Legal Department. Except as specifically amended herein, all of the provisions and conditions of Reso- lution No. D-5985 shall remain in full force and effect. 1 (res/amendng.rp) ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 1992.
