HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1992-D6105 FireworksRESOLUTION NO. 6105 A RESOLUTION setting May 5, 1992 as the date for a public hearing for consideration of an ordinance banning the storage, sale, use, possession, and discharge of fireworks within the City of Yakima. WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Yakima wishes to call a public hearing to consider adoption of an ordinance banning the storage, sale, use, possession, and discharge of fireworks within the City of Yakima; and WHEREAS, the Council deems it in the best interest of the City of Yakima to hold a public hearing, prior to consider- ation of formal adoption of the aforementioned ordinance, in order to solicit public comment, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Yakima Herald Republic, 10 days and 5 days prior to May 5, 1992 the following notice: "Notice of City Council Public Hearing Concerning an Ordinance Banning Storage, Sale, Use, Posses- sion, and Discharge of Fireworks Within the City of Yakima. The City Council for the City of Yakima at its May 5, 1992, 2:00 p.m., regular meeting will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of an ordinance banning storage, sale, use, possession, and discharge of fireworks within the City of Yakima effective June of 1993. Interested members of the public are invited to address the Council during this public hearing at 2:00 p.m. on May 5, 1992, City Council Chambers, City Hall, Yakima, Washington."
