MINUTES OF. SPECIAL MEETING
YAKIMA CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 13, 1972
Pursuant to notice of.October.11, 1972., a special meeting was held_,by..Yakima City Council
on October 13, 1972, at 12:00 Noon at the Cosmopolitan-Chinook Hotel.
Present.on roll .call were. Mayor.Bert.Broad,.Councilmen Wray. Brown, _Jim..Lust.,.Bill Whitaker
and Don_Schussler.
The Council. members.discussed Convention Center.possibilities.
There was discussion on the.Chamber of.Commerce..- ,Visitors.and Convention Bureau relations. •
It was agreed that-the Mayor.should.talk..to Bob_Lewis,.President of the.-:Chamber of Commerce
and Phil Kooser, President.of the Visitors and... Convention. Bureau and. advise them. that until
a marriage is consummated between the Visitors.. and ..Convention Bureau..and.the Chamber of
Commerce the City Council would take'no action_in.regard.to °a.._Convention Center.
The special meeting—adjourned at 1:10 P.M.
