The ...City Council_ met in special _session to due notice at 12:00 noon, September 22,
1972, at the Chinook Hotel ,_Yakima,, Washington.
Councilmen present at the •meeting..were Mayor Bert' Broad; 'Wray Br Lenore Lambert', Dori
Schussler and .Bill Whitaker.' ' ' .- •
There was discussion of the amounts and options of - Federal 'Revenue Sharing.
It was • decided to hold an afternoon and evening meeting-on - September 29, 1972, starting
at 3:00 P.M. and continuing through_ dinner.. The meeting will be held at the Broad' s resi-
dence. On the agenda. will be Tom Pearson' s profile of - the' City , and a consideration of
future City-COunty government.
The Convention Center project was discussed... The concensus was that . input from management
people in the business was an -immediate necessity and -that an early discussion and decision
by the ,Council. as to the location was in order.
