A RESOLUTION authorizing disbursement of funds to the United
States Department of Interior Bureau of Reclama-
tion for Clear Creek Dam renovations.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Interior Bureau
of Reclamation is conducting design review, environmental
documentation, and investigation with regard to reconstruction
of the Clear Creek Dam; and
WHEREAS, renovation of Clear Creek Dam will benefit the
City's domestic water supply by providing enhanced storage
capacity and in -stream flows: and
WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Reclamation is accepting
funds for the repair of Clear Creek Dam, to meet a non-federal
fund source requirement in a Forest Service Challenge Grant,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The transfer of $50,000.00 from the City of Yakima Water
Operating Fund, to the United States Department of Interior
Bureau of Reclamation is hereby approved, and the City Manager
and Director of Finance and Budget are directed to cause such
funds to be so transferred upon receipt of written assurance
from said Bureau that such funds will be used for design,
environmental documentation, and investigation of the Clear
Creek Dam renovation project.
