RESOLUTION NO.
D 5971
A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of an agreement with
the Washington State Department of Community
Development for a loan for partial reimbursement
of costs for improving North 1st Avenue in the
City of Yakima.
WHEREAS, the City desires to rebuild and improve 1st
Avenue to accommodate heavy truck traffic involved in trans-
port of the Yakima Valley fruit industry; and
WHEREAS, the businesses along 1st Avenue have agreed to
an equitable cost participation in this project; and
WHEREAS, a loan for partial reimbursement of the costs of
such improvements is available through the Washington State
Department of Community Development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interest of the City of Yakima to enter into the attached loan
agreement, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager and City Clerk of the City of Yakima are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached and
incorporated agreement entitled "Public Works Trust Fund Loan
Agreement" with the Washington State Department of Community
Development.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this day of
1991.
