Councilman Lambert•agreed•with this approach. City Manager McMicken went on. to explain °that - •existing:county /city land use plans are.not dissimilar and that:regional. . . planning..might.serve to bring them.in.line....He_ further explained•that•.the various areas. . .in.question...could well. develop. their own comprehensive plans. Councilman Lambert said that ..this could.-be.difficultsince unincorporated areas might not want urban type planning.:.. .: . Councilman .Robinson..reiterated..the need the term area ". He•said that -the new planning concept should recognize existing land use plans as some:. -areas_may not have the .potential for development as part of the defined metropolitan area. .
