RESOLUTION NO.1)/ 5909
A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of a surplus police car to the
City of Moxee.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns the police car described
below for which the City has no immediate or foreseeable use and
which is surplus to the needs of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best
interest of the City to sell this police car forthwith, rather
than sell it at the public auction of City surplus equipment at a
later date, and
WHEREAS, the City of Moxee has offered eight hundred dollars
($800.00) for said police car which is a reasonable price for said
vehicle, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TRE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell
the following surplus police car:
One 1988 Chevrolet, serial no. 1G1BL5164JR194974 to the City
of Moxee for eight hundred dollars ($800.00) plus sales tax.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this -021 day of May, 1991.

The City -f Moxee is interested in purchasing one of your surplus
Police V _cles. The vehicle we are particularly interested in is
the 1988 Chevrolet Ca.rice VIN:1G1EL51b4JR194974 also known e
No:17 with approximat, mileage of 66,100.
We cannot afford new police vehicles, so any assistance you can
provide would be appreciated. Therefore, we are making an offer
to purchase the above named v, icie for eight hundred dollars
(5800.00).
I understand that Frank Sweet has been working with you , and we
would like to continue to work through Frank or Byron Adams to
obtain any surplus items you have available.
