A RESOLUTION declaring an emergency and authorizing the pur-
chase of an Electrostatic Plotter without calling
for bids.
WHEREAS, Article VI, Section 6 of the City of Yakima
Charter and Chapter 1.80 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code
require the purchase of equipment costing more than $25,000.00
to be accomplished by a call for bid; and
WHEREAS, said Charter provision allows the City Council
to declare an emergency thereby dispensing with the necessity
for bids; and

outside sources. Such maps may be
produced with an Electrostatic
Plotter; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best
interest of the City of Yakima to declare an emergency to
exist under the aforementioned Charter terms, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
purchase by lease purchase agreement one color Electrostatic
Plotter, Model No. 58444XP with 50 mega bytes of disk memory
from Benefit Computer Systems of Bellevue, Washington for the
price of sixty four thousand dollars ($64,000.00) plus tax
which purchase is to include installation, one year of on-site
maintenance, an internal humidifier, and CCRF capability.
