A RESOLUTION setting a transit bus fare for service to special
events.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima desires to provide transit
bus service to the Central Washington State Fair grounds
during the annual Central Washington State Fair and to other
special events during the year; and
WHEREAS, transit bus service for such events places an
additional cost on the City's transit system over and above
that of regularly scheduled transit bus service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council after due public notice held a
public hearing on September 25, 1990 on the matter of setting
a transit bus fare for special events; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt a transit bus
fare for special events, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
There is hereby established a fare of fifty cents ($0.50)
each way for transit bus service for special events designated
by the Transit Manager. Such special fare shall be in effect
only during special events designated by the Transit Manager
and on routes he or she may designate. Special events are
those which are reasonably calculated to attract more than one
thousand participants over the course of `F'le event.
