A RESOLUTION authorizing the city Attorney to execute an
agreement with the Yakima County Prosecutor for
prosecution services for the calendar year 1991.
WHEREAS, the Yakima County Prosecutor has offered to
perform prosecution of City in- custody arraignments and City
domestic violence cases for $26,000.00 for the calendar year
1991; and
WHEREAS, the City lacks sufficient prosecutorial staff to
perform such services in an efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interest of the City of Yakima to enter into the aforemen-
tioned agreement; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the attached and incorporated "Letter of Agreement
between the City of Yakima and Yakima County Prosecutor's
Office for 1991." _

Re: Letter Agreement between City- of Yakima and Yakima County
Prosecutor's Office for 1991
Dear Jeff:
In consideration for Twenty -Six Thousand Dollars ($26,000) payable
at the rate of Two Thousand One Hundred Sixty -Six Dollars and
Sixty -Six Cents ($2,166.66) per month, I understand that you will
perform the following services for the calendar year 1991:
1. "In- custody" City of Yakima District Court arraignments.
2. Prosecution of City of Yakima District Court domestic violence
cases.
This agreement may be terminated by either party after reasonable
notice to the other party.
Please indicate your acceptance by signing and returning a copy of
this letter to me.
