HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1990-D5764 Fireworks permits• • lib • • • A RESOLUTION granting permits for the retail sale of fireworks within the City of Yakima for 1990. WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 10.15 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code, the Code Administration Manager for the City of Yakima has investigated and reported to the City Council his findings and recommendations regarding issuance of permits for the retail sale of fireworks; WH REAS the Code Administration Manager recommends issuance of said permits for the related sale of fireworks to those persons listed on Exhibit A for the reasons which he finds such persons in compliance with Chapter 10.15 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Proper application having been made for permits for the retail sale of fireworks within the City of Yakima for the year 1990, the City Council of the City of Yakima does hereby grant such permits, pursuant to Chapter 10.15 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code, to the applicants and for fireworks stand locations as listed on EXHIBIT A attached hereto and incorporated herein. Yakima Ave. 1512 Summitview 5606 Summitview 1418 South rd Avenue 5702 Summitview • YAKIMA AIR TERMINAL BOARD, YAKIMA AIRPORT CITY OF YAKIMA FIRE DEPARTMENT LETTER OF AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE: June 26, 1990 SUBJECT: AIRPORT CLOSURES DURING EMERGENCIES. 1) PURPOSE: This Letter of Agreement establishes procedures for partial or total closures of runways, taxiways, and associated ramps during emergencies, whether manmade or natural disasters. 2) DISTRIBUTION: Yakima Air Terminal Board, Yakima Airport Traffic Control Tower, Seattle Flight Service Station, FAA Northwest Mountain Region Headquarters - Air Traffic Division, City of Yakima Fire Department. 3) ACTION: A) The Yakima Air Terminal Board hereby authorizes the following actions and procedures: 1) during any emergency on, or in close proximity to, the Airport which would affect the safety of aircraft operations all or portions of the Airport can be closed to aircraft operations by: a) While the tower is in operation: any Yakima Air Terminal representative who is present on Air Terminal grounds; b) During any time the tower is not in operation or any time a Yakima Air Terminal representative cannot be located at the terminal; the emergency equipment operator of the City of Yakima Fire Department responding to an emergency at or in close proximity to the Airport which would affect the safe operation of aircraft at the Airport. 2) If all, or portions of, the Airport are closed as outlined in lb, the person initiating the closure must make every reasonable attempt to inform a representative of the Yakima Air Terminal as to the type and nature of emergency, the extent of areas closed and an expected duration of the closure. 3) Upon any closures outlined above, the person initiating the closure shall immediately notify the Yakima Air Traffic Control Tower and/or Seattle Flight Service of said closure, and issue NOTAMs of appropriate nature. • 4) Once the emergency situation is under control, and it is determined that aircraft operations can safely be resumed, the person or organization initiating the closure shall cancel said NOTAMs by contacting the Yakima Air Traffic Control Tower and/of Seattle Flight Services. 5) Effective date June 26 J rry,B eson, Chief ty o Yakima Fire Department A.44411-Zek Air rt nager/S ervisor William F.
