RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION standardizing Parks Division riding rotary lawn
mowers.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns a numbers of parks and
other public areas which contain large expanses of lawn which
require periodic cutting by City Parks crews; and
WHEREAS, standardization of lawn mowing equipment by the
Parks Department would result in cost savings on equipment,
and reduced costs in operation, maintenance, and parts; and
WHEREAS, standardization of lawn mowing equipment would
also increase labor productivity; and
WHEREAS, the Parks Division has found the Toro Grounds -
master Prime Mowers, together with their associated attach-
ments, to be of high quality, well suited to the City's needs,
and innovative of new technology, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby authorizes a policy of standardi-
zation of rotary lawn mower equipment for the Parks Division.
The Parks Division is authorized to exclusively purchase Toro
brand Groundsmaster Prime Mowers, with associated attachments,
for City lawn cutting needs.
