A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental
Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the City of
Union Gap.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima and City of Union Gap desire to
arrange for making cooperative purchases of certain goods and
services; and the City Council of the City of Yakima deems it to
be in the best interests of the City that such an arrangement be
carried out according to the provisions, terms and conditions of
the attached agreement document and that it is in the best
interests of the City that the attached agreement document be
executed, now, therefore,
HE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
YAKIMA •
Bection 1. The City Manager and City Clerk of the City of
Yakima are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement
with the City of Union Gap for the purpose mentioned above, a copy
of which agreement, entitled "Intergovernmental Cooperative
Purchasing Agreement," is attached hereto and by reference made a
part hereof

INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
AGREEMENT
Pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW and to other provisions of the law, the City of Yakima, hereinafter
called "The City" and the following named municipal corporation, political subdivision, or other public
agency of the State of Washington, City of Union Gap, hereinafter called "The political subdivision"
hereby agrees to cooperative governmental purchasing upon the following terms and conditions.
(1) The City, in contracting for the purchase of goods and services for the City, agrees to extend
said contract to other political subdivisions to the extent permitted by law, and agreed upon by the parties.
(2) The political subdivision accepts responsibility for compliance with any additional or
varying laws and regulations governing purchases by or on behalf of the political subdivision in
question. A purchase by the political subdivision shall be effected by a purchase order from the political
subdivision, directed to the vendor or other party contracting to furnish goods or services to The City.
(3) The City accepts no responsibility for the performance of any of the purchasing contract by
the vendor, and the City accepts no responsibility for payment of the purchase price by the political sub-
division.
(4) The political subdivision reserves the right to contract independently for the purchase of any
goods or services, with or without notice to the City.
(5) The City reserves the right to exclude the undersigned political subdivision, or any class
containing the undersigned political subdivision, or political subdivisions in general, from any
particular purchasing contract, with or without notice to the political subdivision.
(6) This Agreement shall continue in force until cancelled by either party, which cancellation
shall be effected with or without notice to the other party.
