Tucker-. propertyy...is. a property. for their type . of business and feels -that Mr.. Tucker. .should :be allowed . to .bu d. Councilman Keith..indi- cated that he, feels,.that .the. park idea._.is: a .good_: one :.that:- should: :.be. pursued. with. Pacific Power & Light Company, but that_.. he •is .not j:usfor; park's in residential areas _ , as green. space located ;within ...a. commercial. area. is - also 'ple`asing' and stated. ;that ,he ..does not.. see any . way it. conflicts with the. Tucker. area... After this discussion., it was MOVED by Brown,. seconded by McNeice.that an.Ordinance be prepared rezoning the.. Tucker property, including .a program and plan.. . Councilman . Robin - son_ dtscussed...the .matter..:.of a ,suggested internal. street between. Lincoln. and the hill.and .stated :that • the :park .situation. is „very attractive.,.:but he ,would. like to: have. more information . on it :.before .voting.'.on. the rezone.. matter, and .would like .to ,see..this.:continued: for :one- :week.. Report #120, Request for Extension of- Fruitvale Bus ...Service, :which reviewed-this matter stating that in.accordance.with Council- action on May 10, 1971,- ..when.a petition was _ presen.ted - requesting extension .of said bus service outside • the City limits, and the .Council..requested • that the matter be studied -in' present policy, .costs;.to. the. .City,. etc. , that these items have been Mr. McMicken . .stated •that.in.studying.this matter with Transit Manager-.Bob :Knight, it was found that it ...would take 56•adult (.25 ) fares per week.in•order break even and that Mr.. Knight reports •. that the probability of this many adult • fares•per.week in.the proposed extension.area is doubtful. He further.•stated that it has•.been the policy in the'past to deny bus service . •extensions outside of the' because residents in the unincorporated areas pay no transit tax for the service, that approval .of such .an extension request•would make it difficult to deny other requests. from non -City areas, and.there is.no reason, for this.area.to not annex, .thereby receiving bus service along with - other municipal services, and .recommended .denial. of this request. .After due discussion, it wasMOVED by Keith, - seconded by Robinson that the.. recommendation of the City Manager and Transit Manager be accepted and that this re- quest for :xtension. of bus service be denied and that the City.
