Minutes for Meeting on October 28, 2020

I.Call to Order
Chair Hallcalled the meeting to order at approximately5:30P.M.
II.Roll Call
HPC Members Present: Cynthia Hall, Alixanne Pinkerton, Dawn King, Paul Edmondson
HPC Members Absent: Joe Mann
Quorum: Quorumpresent
Staff: Trevor Martin, Associate Planner
III.Approval of SeptemberMeeting Minutes
It was motioned by CommissionerPinkerton and seconded by Commissioner Edmondsonto
approve the meeting minutes of September 23, 2020; the motion carried unanimously.
IV.Staff Announcements
Associate Planner Trevor Martin announced that City staff is awaiting information from the
Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP).
V.Audience Participation
None noted.
VI.New Business
A.2020 Awards
Martin explained that the awards from 2019 were not presented due to social gathering
restrictions as a result of COVID-19. He suggested that this year the Commission give an
award to Northwest Vernacular for their research and presentation of information to the
Commission; the Commission had general consensus.
B.Future Meetings and Dates

Due to the proximity of the next Commission meetings to the Holidays (November 25

and December 23), Martin suggested that they be cancelled.The Commission had
general consensus to cancelunless something comes up that needs their attention.

VII.Other Business
Commissioner King explained that she can keep the Naches neighborhood informed of
upcoming steps on establishing a historic district since she lives in the area.
VIII.Adjournment
A motion to adjourn to January 27, 2021was passed with unanimous vote. This meeting
adjourned at approximately 5:42p.m.
