Set August 18, 2015 as the date for a public hearing for Council's
consideration of appeals submitted by Maud Scott and the City of
Yakima regarding the Hearing Examiner's decision on a request for
an Unclassified Use Interpretation by Yakima Neighborhood Health
for a proposed Community Resource Service Center

The City Council will consider an appeal of the Use Interpretation Classification Decision issued by the
Hearing Examiner on May 12, 2015. The Interpretation was requested by Yakima Neighborhood Health
for the proposal to locate a new use described as a Community Resource Service Center in the Small
Convenience Center Zoning District. Two appeals were filed related to the Hearing Examiner's Decision.
The City Community Development Department filed an appeal, as well as a neighbor, Maud Scott. The
appeal of a decision by the City of Yakima is very unusual and this is a complex issue.
