SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Rhonda Hauff, CEO of Yakima Neighborhood Health, Christy Bracewell Trotter, interim CEO of
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Angela Gonzalez, CEO of Community Health of Central
Washington will accept the proclamation.

`4? E1j EAS, (Yakima's three community health centers are a vital-part of our
community's health care system; and
` J E1j,EAS, (Yakima Neighborhood Wealth Services, Community.health of Central
Washington and(Yakima 'Valley 'Farm Workers Clinic expand access to quality health care for
all people, helping to contain costs by encouraging prevention andintegrating the delivery of
primary care with outreach, patient education, translation, and other enabling services; and
` it-ElcjaEAS, during National Community health Center Week, we annually recognize
the importance of these health centersfor their role in providing affordable and accessible care;
and
W'XE RjEAS, these three (Yakima community health centers also play a significant role as
major local employers and an important source of economic growth; and
WEEREAS, Yakima Neighborhood Wealth Services, Community.FCealth of Central
Washington and(Yakima 'Valley 'Farm Workers Clinic partnering with many agencies in the City
and County of(Yakima, has led the effort to help uninsured residents enroll-in a health insurance
plan that meets their needs and their budget; and
WitEREt7S, these community health centers sewed 86,415 patients last year up and
down the (Yakima 'Valley,
WOW, OPERETOcjaE, I, Janice Deccio, I44ayor of the City of(Yakima and on behalf of
the (Yakima City Council, do hereby proclaim the weekoffugust 7-13, 2022 as

in the City of(Yakima and urge our community to recognize the multitude of ways in which
