W PERMS, Wagon Beauchamp was born on October 12, 2000 in (Yakima,
Washington; and
WEAMS, Wagon began to display a major talent for the game of
6asket6allas a novice prayer at the Irmo; Beauchamp Community Center, later
entering organized play at a young age; and
PI'W!ERMS, it became quickly apparent that fvfarJon's talent and
commitment would help define him as a young man with an incredible gift and
willingness to give; and
WIPERSEAS, Alarjon joined the developmental-fationalBasketball
Association (NBA) Cj League Ignite in 2021 averaging 15.7 points and 6.4
rebounds per game while shooting 53.5%from the field in 21 games; and
WI-PERMS, Alarjon, through his hard work sacrifice and demonstrated
personal commitment, was one of 20 players invited to the NBA 2022 Draft; and
WIPERMS, fvfarjon was selected in the first round, number 24, of the
2022 NBA draft by the Alilwaukee Bucks.
NOW WERETORE, I, Janice Deccio, Alayor of the City of(Yakima, and
on behalf of the City Council, is pleased and proud to honor this outstanding
athlete for his commitment to basket ballandfor being a fine example of American
youth.
