ITEM TITLE: Set Date of July 5, 2022 to consider a Notice of Intent to
Commence Annexation

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
On May 12, 2022, a Notice of Intent to Commence Annexation was submitted for approximately
38.3 acres in the vicinity of S 94th Avenue and Coolidge Road. In accordance with RCW
35.13.125, the Council shall set a date not later than 60 days after the filing of the request to meet
with the initiating parties to determine whether the city will accept, reject, or geographically modify
the proposed annexation; whether it shall require the simultaneous adoption of the
comprehensive plan; and whether is shall require the assumption of all or any portion of city
indebtedness by the area to be annexed.
