Guests Charlie Robin, Jane Cooper and Cheryl Hahn. City Staff: Randy Bonds, Tammy Regimbal. YPAC did not record. The September minutes will be held for approval at the next meeting. There are name tags for Commissioners — check with Cally. Windows Alive Opening: There was a discussion about opening night — all agreed it is a good show. Jane turned in a commission of $52.50 for a sale (Tammy). Noel reported that there are open artist slots for the Spring 2019 display. A call to artists should be planned for February 2019. Currently there are two openings. Randy will follow up with Dorothy (last name?) about the pieces she submitted earlier. The Spring/Summer show will open the first Friday in April. Commission vacancies: The application is online. Noel reported that Erwina Peterson has resigned (Community rep). Tammy will inform the City Clerk. The Seasons needs to replace Jason Kidall (note correct spelling is two I's). Jason has suggested Megan Holland attend in his place. Tammy will check with Roger Huynh — update - he responded in the affirmative to the request for the September 2018 meeting, but did not attend. Utility Box Wrap Project: The wraps are installed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th Streets along Yakima Avenue. The City is responsible for one additional wrap (a total of 10). David is considering content for labels — the Commissioner's thought the Commission logo along with the sponsoring business' name would be appropriate. Tammy will talk to Cally about funds for the final wrap and labels from the Arts Commission 2018 budget. Washington State Creative District: Noel gave an update. She suggested and it was agreed that Noel talk to each member of the City Council about what they see as the Commission's role and she will report back to the Commission. Other Business: Cheryl Hahn initiated a discussion about repair of the Millennium Plaza. David Lynx provided some info from the Millennium Foundation. The next meeting of the Yakima Arts Commission will be March 21, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room on the second floor at City Hall.
