ADJOURNED MEETING
OCTOBER 25', 1988
1. LUNCHEON MEETING WITH RON KASPRISIN REGARDING DOWNTOWN PLAN
The City Council met in session on this date at 11:45A.M. at the
Holiday Inn, Yakima, Washington for an informal meeting `with Ron
Kasprisin..,Council, members present were Henry Beauchamp and Lynn
Buchanan. Council members Mayor Pat Berndt, Clarence, Barnett, Lynn
Carmichael, Jerry- Foy and Bernard - Sims , absent and- excused,: Staff
members. present, were,, Assistant City,Manager Stouder, Glenn Rice,
Director of Community & Economic. .Deelopment and Don Skone,
Planning Manager. Also present was_Ron Kasprisin,,Kasprisin Design
Group.. -
Mr. Kasprisin discussed the concept of the subareas,,. special
districts, the Mercy block, skywalks, and the civic center' complek:'
Discussion also occurred.as to the future of the Yakima Center and
its expansion. 4.
