cultural diversity in education, business and arts, and wishes to acknowledge their culture and
strong family values with the entire community; and
'EREAS, festivals contri6ute to tourism which is an important economic development
tooffor downtown revitalization; and
WiPEREAS, the City of Yakima recognizes the cultural and economic contri6utions of the
.91e4can /Latino /.7fispanic community; and
WIPEREAS, the .7fispanic Cham6er of Commerce of Yakima County supports the efforts of
the City of Yakima to enhance downtown 6y hosting the 14th Annual Cinco de Ilayo Cultural'
Event on Saturday and Sunday, Ilay 2, and 3, 2015, as welt as other related activities throughout
the week.
