A RESOLUTION authorizing award of Bid 12201, to Grating Pacific LLC., for Aluminum Bar
Grating for Catwalk
WHEREAS, the City posted and published notice on December 30 and 31, 2021 in the
Yakima Herald Republic, on the City's webpage and through Public Purchase.com that Bid No.
12201 was available for competitive bid; and
WHEREAS, Bids were due January 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.; bids that were timely
received were publicly opened in City Council Chambers in Yakima, Washington; and
WHEREAS, the following Bids were received, as evidenced by the attached Bid
Tabulation Form; and
WHEREAS, all responsive Bids were sent to the Wastewater Treatment Plant for
Recommendation of Award; and
WHEREAS, Grating Pacific LLC., was the lowest responsive Bid received from a
responsible Bidder; the Wastewater Treatment Plant recommends Award be issued to Grating
Pacific LLC.; and
WHEREAS, the Scope of Work and available budget meet the needs and requirements
of the City of Yakima for this procurement, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The Bid 12201 is hereby awarded Grating Pacific LLC., in the amount of $134,759.86,
for the procurement of Aluminum Bar Grating for Catwalk.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 1st Day of March, 2022.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
On December 30 and 31, 2022, the City of Yakima Solicited Bid 12201 titled Aluminum Bar
Grating for Catwalk to be provided to the City of Yakima Wastewater Treatment Plant. This
purchase is a one-time purchase of prefabricated components measured to the intended area,
ready for City employees to install.
Recommendation of award was made to Grating Pacific LLC., and approved by Mike Price,
Wastewater Manager, and Scott Schafer, Director of Public Works. The City Manager also
signed approval on the attached Bid Tabulation. This award is for the one-time purchase of
approximately 2,828 square feet of mill finished aluminum serrated bar grating banded at the
ends with cutouts for catwalk totaling $134,759.86.
