OFFICE OF CITY COUNCIL
July 1, 2014
Dear City of Yakima,
My name is Lois Richardson and I am a sixty-four year old widow on a limited income. When my
husband was dying from cancer the program came and did repair and maintenance to our home
relieving him of a lot of stress and worry. If it wasn't for your Senior Housing Emergency Home Repair
Program I would not have been able to keep my home.
Archie and Orval went out of their way to make sure that my septic tank was emptied every two weeks
until I could get hooked up to the city sewer. My home would have been condemned if it wasn't for
your program. I feel very blessed to live in a city that has this kind of program for women like me. It has
helped me out tremendously.
Thank you,
Lois Richardson
