RE: Hotel Representative Appointment to the Tourism Promotion Area Hotel Motel
Commission
Dear Mayor and Council:
Last month Jim Steelman left his position with the Red Lion Hotel, creating a vacancy
on the Tourism Promotion Area Hotel Motel Commission. His term goes through
September 2014. As outlined in City of Yakima Ordinance No 2011-21, the Yakima
Valley Lodging Association have selected Lisa Vallejo, General Manager of the Hilton
Garden Inn, to fill the slot for the balance of the term and with the intent for her to
continue a three year term thereafter.
