Subject: Additional $1 Charge Sunday Service - Transit
At the May 20th City Council meeting, Ms. Kris Fork was questing the additional $1
charge for the Transit Sunday Service.
Her issue was that if you get on the bus before 8 am, the drivers will inform you that you
need to pay an additional $1 for all day service for a total of $3.00.
In following up with staff, it was indicated that the cost of an All Day Pass is $3.00. There
has been no recent price increase. Without an All Day Pass, passengers are charged
$1.00 for a single trip and given one transfer at no additional charge. However, if one
takes multiple trips a day without an All Day Pass, this could easily exceed $3.00 per
day.
It is my understanding that the drivers are having Ms. Fork pay for an All Day Pass
based on her riding schedule.
