A RESOLUTION authorizing an agreement with TTC Construction, LLC. for Project No,
AC2533 30-inch transmission main valve installation.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns, operates, and maintains the water Distribution
System in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations; and
WHEREAS, the transmission main has been evaluated and valve installation is
recommended; and
WHEREAS, repairs to the first level reservoir are needed and an isolation valve is
required; and
WHEREAS, under City Contract No. 2020-138, the City entered into an agreement with
G & 0 Engineering to prepare the plans and contract documents for reservoir improvements and
valve installation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima Water/Irrigation Division requires construction services for
the 30-inch transmission main valve installation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima used the procedure established by the State of
Washington for competitively bidding projects; and
WHEREAS, TTC Construction, LLC. submitted the low bid and has the ability to perform
the contract specified work; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded by the water improvement fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Yakima and
its residents to enter into a contract with to perform the work detailed in the contract documents
for the 30-inch transmission main valve installation, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract with TTC
Construction, LLC in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Five Hundred Two Dollars ($100,502)
for the 30-inch transmission main valve installation.

The Contractors shall provide and bear the expense of all oquipmmnt, work and labor ofany sort whatsoever that may be
required for the transfer of materials and for constructing and completing the work provided for inthis contract and every part
thereof, except such as are mentioned in the specifications to be furnished by the City of Yakima.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The first level reservoir is in need of improvements to repair leaks and install additional access
hatches. A new isolation valve must be installed in the 30-inch transmission main leading to that
reservoir to facilitate the needed improvements.
City staff used the State bidding process to advertise for competitive bids for the 30-inch
transmission main valve installation for Project No. AC2533 and TTC Construction, LLC was the
low bidder with a bid of $100,502. The Agreement is attached for City Council review in an
amount not to exceed $100,502. This vital project is funded by the Water Improvement Fund.
