ITEM TITLE: Introduction of Interim Assistant City Manager Matthew"Selby"

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Matthew"Selby" Selby has been serving as the interim executive director at Middlesex West
Chamber of Commerce in Acton, MA since September 21. Prior to joining the Middlesex West
Chamber of Commerce he served as the Land Use & Economic Development Director for the
Town of Acton, MA(January 2016 — July 2021). Selby has also been the Director of Community
Development and Health for the Town of Ashland, MA(November 2009 — January 2016) and the
Economic Development Coordinator for the Town of Ashland, MA (January 2008-November
2009). Selby has a Certificate in Local Government Leadership from Suffolk University and the
Massachusetts Municipal Association, a Master of Science, Resource Management and
Administration degree from Antioch University New England, in Keene, NH, and a Bachelor of
Arts, cum laude from St. John's University, Collegeville, MN. Selby will be serving as the Interim
Assistant City Manager as the City conducts a search for a permanent placement.
