For Meeting of: November 1, 2021 ITEM TITLE: Open record public hearing to consider the Yakima Planning Commission's recommendation on a Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA#005-21) and Rezone (RZ#005-21) request submitted by Rick Hargraves SUBMITTED BY: Joan Davenport,AI CP, Community Development Director Joseph Calhoun, Planning Manager(509) 575-6042 SUMMARY EXPLANATION: Hordan Planning Services on behalf of Rick Hargraves, submitted Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment(CPA), Rezone, and Environmental Review applications for a portion of a parcel from Community Mixed Use to Mixed Residential and rezone from Local Business (B-2)to Two- Family Residential (R-2). After holding a study session on July 14, 2021, and a public hearing on August 25,2021, the Yakima Planning Commission recommended approval of the CPA and Rezone applications, with the Findings being signed by the chair on September 8, 2021. In accordance with YMC 16.10.090, the City Council shall direct planning staff to prepare legislation to approve, approve with conditions, or deny each amendment under consideration; and at a subsequent City Council meeting enact an Ordinance adopting the decision reached at the public hearing.
