PROCLAMATION
WIL REAS, the 80 students of (Yamate ffigh School, (Yokohama,
Japan, have been accepted into the fives and homes of 41 'Yakima galley
families between April11 through April25, 2014; and
14 EREAS, these students bring with them the respect and
graciousness of the Japanese culture and, in return, are greeted with the
generosity that is characteristic of (Yakima families; and
WEREAS, the ecchange of culture and values brings about better
understanding between nations;
NOW DEREEORE, I, Micah Cawley, Mayor of the City of
(Yakima and on behalf of the City Council, do hereby proclaimAprilll — 25,
