SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
This project (City Project No.: 2254A) consisted of installing a steel ornamental fence. The
project installed over 900 feet of fence. The fence was installed to separate the new alignment
of the Greenway Path from the active portion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and in
response to Police Department recommendations to install security fencing and lighting around
the perimeter of the active plant area. The incidence of break-ins to the Plant by cutting the
existing chain link fence and entering the Plant from the south end has been increasing. The
break-ins have resulted in vandalism and stolen equipment. The Police Department
recommends additional fencing be installed in the future at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The work will be completed as funds are available.
Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be
accepted.
This Council action is to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
