ITEM TITLE: Introduction of Erica McNamara, Public Safety Communications
Manager

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Erica McNamara was appointed as SunComm's Public Safety Communications Manager on
September 7, 2021. Prior to her role at the City of Yakima, she was a Supervising Public Safety
Dispatcher for Placer County Sherriff's Office in Northern California, where she had worked since
2011 . McNamara currently consults for the Government Training Agency regarding public safety
training and has been in that role since 2016.Additionally, she consulted for the Peace Officer's
Standards and Training Division for the State of California from 2016-2021. Her public safety
experience also includes working as a Public Safety Dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol
from 2009-2011.
