Re: Patricia Byers
I have known Patricia for some time and have come to learn that she is a solid professional and
an avid supporter of Yakima and the valley.
She participates in several community events, was chosen the Greater Yakima Chamber
Volunteer Ambassador of the year for 2013.
Patricia also serves on the Yakima Schools Foundation board
I know she gives one hundred percent to her work and the community.
Patricia will represent all of Yakima well.
I encourage you to select Patricia as the district 2 representative on the council.
Thank you .

Subject: Recommendation for Vacant City Council position.
Dear City Council Members and Leadership,
I'm writing you in regards to Patricia Byers as a potential candidate for the vacant City Council position.
Mrs. Byers is well qualified and educated for this position. She has been a personal mentor of mine and
has been an active volunteer here at the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce. In fact she just
received the volunteer of the year award at our 2013 annual Ted Robertson event.
Patricia would be an asset to the City Council with her ability to analyze, study issues, and make
decisions that would represent our community well. She would be a strong team player and self- starter
when needed. I cannot think of a stronger candidate to fill this position that is more community minded
and genuinely cares about Yakima. Please consider her for this honored position. She would represent
us with dignity, respect, and integrity!
Sincerely,
Verlynn K. Best, CEO /President
