Loved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 22nd, 1933 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll. call. % Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Street Dept. $978.67; Cemetery $72.00; Cemetery Care $438.00; Park Dept. $354.00 and Permanent Highway $88.00: carried, Stratto , Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -53, entitled, "An Ordinance repealing Section 11 of Ordinance No. B -50 of the City of Yakima, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Washburn and read by.the City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -53 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Washbtrn, and Clark voting aye,on roll call. - 'Moved by Washburn, 'seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -53,be passed to its third read. - ing.and read in full.: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye orr roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Stratton that this being the time for receiving bids for the lease of the refreshment concession at the Lion's Park the following were received: Mrs. Epperson and Mrs. Whitmore $100.00 and C. M. Jones $166.55. The bid of C. M. Jones being the highest and best bid, the contract for the -ease of said concession for the season of 1933 was awarded to him: 'carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. R. & P. $113.75 and P. R..& P. 3155.00. RESOLUTION NO. C -66; A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of a pipe line crossing agree ment between the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, and the Oregon- Washington Rail- road & Navigation Company, a corporation of Oregon. WHEREAS, the .City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, has construct- ed and does now maintain and operate one eight inch cast iron pipe line for the purpose of conveying water across the right of way and underneath the roadbed and track or tracks of the Oregon- Washington Railroad & Nivigation Company at or near Yakima, in the county of Yakima, state of Washington, in the location described as follows: The Engineer's station 5130 plus 42.3 on the Yakima Branch, Washington Division, of said Oregon- Washington Railroad & Navigation Company, and WHEREAS it is necessary that an agreement be entered into between the City.of Yakima, a municipal corporation, and the Oregon- Washington Railroad and Navi- gation Company, granting to the said City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, the right to maintain and operate said pipe line; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Yakima that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they hereby are authorized to execute a pipe line crossing agree- ment with said Oregon Washington Railroad & Navigation Company which will grant to the said City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, the right to maintain and operate said eigh inch cast iron pipe line across the right of way and underneath the roadbed and track or tracks of the said Oregon - Washington Railroad & Navigation Company at the point hereinbe- fore described.
