The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call. _
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of.Monday,
April 24th, 1933 be approved as-read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Stratton that the payrolls for the month of April, 1933
be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Dept.
$2,254.00; Health Dept. x$818.75; Police Dept. $22789.50; Engineering Dept. $840.00; Fire

ION authorizing the sale of South 501 of the North 255' of
Land Company's Garden Lots to Wm. H Everts.and Greta Evert
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following described
real property situated in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to wit:
South 50' of the North 255' of the West
130' of Lot 1, Ontario Land Company's
Garden Lots
according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the
Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treasur
of the City of Yakima, County of Yakima) State of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on
sale of said property for delinquent.assessments, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima to sell said premises to Wm. H. Everts and Greta Everts, husband and wife upon
the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. _
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby authorized
to be sold to Wm. H. Everts and Greta Everts, husband and wife for the total sum of ONE
HUNDRED ONE and 59/100 ($101:59).DOLLARS2 payable as follows: the sum of Six and 59/100
($6.59) Dollars in cash upon the execution of the contract her authorized and the bal-
ance of Ninety Five 095.00) Dollars in monthly payments of Five ($5.00) Dollars, begin-
ning June 11 1933, and continuing until the entire amount has been paid. All deferred
payments to bear interest at the rate of six (6�6) per cent per annum payable monthly with
principal payments.
The purchaser under said contract shall also agree to pay all
assessments against said premises falling due under any Local Improvement District or
Districts hereafter created or arising from levies hereafter placed against said premises,
and the Mayor and City Clerk of said City.are hereby authorized and directed to enter in-
to a contract in duplicate with said purchaser under the terms hereinabove set forth.
Said agreement to be entered into shall also contain suitable pro -

second parties in a solvent insurance company satisfactory to first party as its interest
may appear and shall contain a provision that in .case of destruction of or damage to any
buildings or improvements on said premises such damage or loss shall be the loss of sec-

shall also contain a suitable-provision providing for forfeiture thereof upon failure of
second party to make any payment of principal, interest, taxes or assessments therein
provided for when same shall become due or delinquent, notice of such forfeiture to be
for 30 days and service thereof'`to be by serving same personally upon second parties or
by mailing to them at Yakima, Washington, and a further provision shall be placed there-
in 'that upon final payment of said principal and interest and taxes and assessments the
first party shall convey said pr emises to second parties by a good and sufficient Quit
Claim Deed conveying all the interest said City of Yakima has now in said premises; and
the further provision shall be contained in said contract against the assignment of sec-
ond parties without the consent of first party had and obtained.

RESOLUTION NO. 0-65, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH-
INGTON:
That from midnight the close of May 7, 1933, to midnight the close

of October 7, 1933, the official time for the City of Yakima in carrying on all of its
public functions shall be and is hereby declared to be one hour in advance of Standard
Pacific time, commonly known as "daylight-saving time.",
Be it further resolved that W. W. Stratton, Mayor, be and he is hereby au-
thorized and directed to issue forthwith a public proclamation declaring that from mid-
night the close of May 7th, 1933 to midnight the close of October 7th, 1933, the City of
Yakima shall carry on all of its business functions according to daylight- saving time and
that the official time for said city shall be one hour in advance of Standard Pacific
time; and,
Be it further resolved that said proclamation shall urge all citizens,of
the City of Yakima to conduct.their affairs according to said official daylight- saving
time.
