The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washburn
and--Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the,minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, February 8th, 1932 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
Loved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for;
doing the city printing for the year 1932, and the bid of the Republic Publishing Co'.
being the only bid presented, for the sum of 50¢ per square per insertion; it is order-
ed that the contract be awarded to the Republic Publishing Co. and-the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the city for said
work: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll cell.

January 1, 1931 for two card table licenses is, hereby transferred. to H. L. Cooper, 14

WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following described
reel property situated. in Yakima County, State of Washington, to- wit:

according to the official plat thereof now on
file and of record in the office of the Auditor

by.reason of a deed,therefor issued by the Treasurer of Yakima County, Washington to!

Yakima to sell said premises to GUARANTY TRUST COMPANY, Executor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF. YAKIMA, WASH INrTON :
That said above described premises be and"they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to GUARANTY TRUST COMPANY, Executor, for the total sum of Seventy -One
and 50 /100 ($71.50) D611a.rs,
And the Mayor, N. W. STRATTON, is hereby authorized to execute a
deed to said promises, and. the City Clerk, PEARL BENJAMIN, is hereby authorized and
directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said Cit,T of Yakima.

RESOLUTION NO. 0-37, BE. IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. COMA.. ;ISSI0Y OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH-
INGTON:
That it is the intention of the City Commission of the City of
Yakima, Washington, to improve West Walnut Street, from First Avenue South to Sixth
Avenue South, all in the City of Yakima, Washington, by grading and paving.the same
with a one course Portland cement,concrete pavement; from First Avenue South to Third
Avenue South to be six feet in width on each side of the existing pavement and from
Third Avenue South to Sixth Avenue South to be fourteen feet wide on each side of the
existing pavement; and by constructing the the necessary curbs, sidewalks, siphons and
drains and doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all
in.accordance. with plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City En-
gineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City
Commission to.be held at its offices in the City Office Building in the City of Yakima,
Washington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.M. , on Monday, the 14th day of March, 1932,
which time and place are hereby fixed. for the hearing of all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto and for determining the method of payment;
therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and
of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expenses of said improvement shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro-
vided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission,
at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other in-
formation required by law to.be submitted by him.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COM11ISSION this 15th day of February, 1972..

ORDINANCE NO. B -26, entitled, "An Ordinance fixing the time of delinquency of -,the assess -
ments levied for the payment of the cost and expense of the improvements in Local
provement District No. 500, and providing for the issuance of bonds, with coupons attache
for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Clark and read. by the
City Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the claim of Mollie Ebblewhite in the.sum of
$6,000.00 for damages alleged -to have been sustained by reason of falling on a slippery
sidewalk between North First and North Second Streets is hereby fejected: carried,
Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
