Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the,minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, February 8th, 1932 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Loved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for; doing the city printing for the year 1932, and the bid of the Republic Publishing Co'. being the only bid presented, for the sum of 50¢ per square per insertion; it is order- ed that the contract be awarded to the Republic Publishing Co. and-the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the city for said work: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll cell. IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. COMA.. ;ISSI0Y OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH- INGTON: That it is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, to improve West Walnut Street, from First Avenue South to Sixth Avenue South, all in the City of Yakima, Washington, by grading and paving.the same with a one course Portland cement,concrete pavement; from First Avenue South to Third Avenue South to be six feet in width on each side of the existing pavement and from Third Avenue South to Sixth Avenue South to be fourteen feet wide on each side of the existing pavement; and by constructing the the necessary curbs, sidewalks, siphons and drains and doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in.accordance. with plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City En- gineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to.be held at its offices in the City Office Building in the City of Yakima, Washington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.M. , on Monday, the 14th day of March, 1932, which time and place are hereby fixed. for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto and for determining the method of payment; therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
