Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 11th, 1932 be approved. as read: carried., Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye, on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -33, WHEREAS, Ordinance No. B -25, passed and approved by the City Com- mission, on the 18th day of .January 1932, and known and designated as The Electrical Code of the City of Yakima, provided among other. things that the City Commission shall appoint an electrical engineer not employed by the City of Yakima, for a term of one year, who, together with the City Engineer and the Fire Chief shall constitute a'Board of Appeals in an advisory capacity only in cases.where dispute.may arise between the public and the Electrical Inspector; and WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing A. J. Gladson ��oved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -25 be passed to its third reading and.read in full: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -25 be passed as finally read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by 'Mashburn, seconded by Clark that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: carried, Stratton, Washburn and. Clark voting aye on roll call. B -25, entitled, "An Ordinance to be known as The Electrical Code of the City of Yakima for safeguarding life and property by regulating the installation, alter- ation, repair, use and operation of electric wires, appliances, apparatus and devices in or about buildings on private or public property (with certain exceptions); providing for the licensing for regulation and revenue of electrical contractors, dealers a.nd- wiremen; defining approved electrical meterials and appliances; prohibiting; the sale or use of unapproved materials and appliances; providing penalties for the violation hereof; repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict #erewith and declaring an emergency," was introduced by Stratton and read by the City Clerk.
