The ri_ty Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commi- ssioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mond.a.y,
December 28, 1931 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved. by Clark, seconded. by Mashburn that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll. for paving Summitview Avenue, in Local..Improvement District No. 500,
and there being no objections in.writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any
part thereof; it is.therefore ordered that said assessment roll and every part thereof
be passed as finally.re_d: carried, Stratton, Washburn and.Clark.voting aye on roll call
ORPINANCF NO:- B -23, eht:itled;.t1Ah Ordinance confirming-the assessment roll covering Local
Improvement District No. 500, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -13 of the
ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -23 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

reeding and read in full: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.

Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the claim of Joseph Mandel, as administrator
of the estate of Charles Hartman, deceased, for damages in the sum of $20,000.00 and
doctor's and funeral expenses, alleged to have been sustained by said Charles Hartman by
reason of falling on a'slippery sidewalk near the Yakima Public Library building is here-
by rejected: carried; Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded. by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to adver-
tise for bids for a new pump for the Fire Department; said bids to be received on Mon-
day, January 11th, 1932 at 10 o- 'clock A. M.: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark vot-
ing aye on roll call.
gloved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the payroll for cleaning streets in the sum of
$351.02 is hereby allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor:
