Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 8th, 1930 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on:roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Traub that this being the time for receiving bids for fire hose, the following firms were awarded contracts; Yakima Hardware Co. 500 feet 22inch Supreme Brand ® 850 per foot; American Rubber Co. 500 feet 21 inch Municipal Brand d 1.00 per foot, and 300 feet of 11 inch Lighting Brand @ 60 ¢ per foot: carried, Stratto , Clark and Traub v oting aye on roll call. Moved by Traub, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the improvement in Local Improvement District'4.94, by the Contractor, R. A. Geary, in the sum of $1,307.30, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of said hearing for Monday, January 5, 1931: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call. Moved by Traub, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for con- structing a sewer on North 8th Street in Local Improvement District No. 495, the follow- ing were received on Concrete: R. A. Geary $1587.00 and J. M. DeBlasio $1136.00; the contract was awarded to J. M. DeBlasio,in the sum of $1,136.00 and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City upon the filing of the proper bond with the City Clerk: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. B -1169, WHEREAS, the'City of Yakima has purchased from WILLIAM LEE, JR, the following described real estate, situate in the County of Yakima, State of Wash- ington, and particularly described as follows, to -wit: Lee's Addition to Yakima, Washington, according to the official plat . thereof on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, in volume "G" of Plats, page 49, consisting of 18 lots numbered 1 to 18 inclusive. (NOTE: The ground platted as Lee's Addition is de- scribed upon the face of the plat and dedication as follows; All of Lot 4 and that part of Lot 5 lying north of the R. S. and C. Canal of Cottage Hill Addition to North Yakima, (now Yakima), according to-die plat of record and now on file in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington.) and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima paid the surd of $7,400.00 for said property, and WHEREAS, said sum was paid from the CEMETERY TRUST FUND of said City, and WHEREAS, the purchase price of said property is properly pay- able from the PARK and PLAYGROUND FUND of said City; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That the sum of Seven Hundred Forty and 00100 ($740.00) Dol- lars per year, beginning June 15th, 1931, be paid from the said Park and Playground Fund to the Cemetery Trust Fund until all of said purchase price hereinbefore mentioned has been paid into said Cemetery Trust Fund. All deferred payments to bear interest at the rate of 6,'o per annum computed upon balances and to be added each year to the annual payment hereinbe- fore provided for. The Park and Playground Fund of the City of Yakima shall have the right to pay any amount they desire upon this contract at any payment time provid- ed that such payment in no case shall be less than the annual payment hereinfore provid- ed for.
