The City Commissioners met, in regular, session, Mayor Stratton and Goinmissioners Clark
and Traub voting aye on roll call.
?.Mved by Stratton,_seconded by Clark that the minutes of the.regular meeting.of Monday,
February.24th, 1930.and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton
Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.

bids for paving South lst Avenue in Local Improvement District No., 475, the following
were received:

The bid of Wilson & De Blasio in the sum of $15,505002 being the lowest and
best 'bid •said contract. "is hereby awarded to them and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized
to enter into a contract on behalf of said City with said Contractors upon their.filing
the,-pro-per bond as required by law: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub.voting aye on"
roll- call.

Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk.is hereby authorized to give
written notice to K.; Heato; 131 South Front Street to appear before the City Commiss-
ion on Monday, March 10th, 1930, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M: to show cause, if-any
he has,.why•hi.s license heretofore issued for soft drinks should.not be revoked: carried

Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
written notice to Sam Chong, 11 South Front Street to appear before the City Commiss-
i_on on Monday,, March 10th, 1930, at the hour' of 10 o'clock A.M. to shoo cause,, if any
he has, why his license heretofore issued for.operating a card table should not be re-
voked: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.

tile building *8x9 feet on the City Street Department yards and also for a concrete vault

Contractors, for paving South First .Avenue in Local Improvement District No. 475, in the
sum .of $15,505602 is hereby approved and filed with the City Clerk: carried, Stratton,

.'RESOLUTION NO. B -1121, BI' IT - RESOLVED BY THP' CITY C0181IS "ION OF TIC CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is the. intention of the City - Commission of the City of
Yakima,, Washington, to improve South Fourth Street from East Walnut Street to Adams
Avenue, in the City of' Yakima.., '7ashington,J,-by grading and paving the same with a one
course- Portland cement concrete pavement; the pavement to be-60 feet in width from East
Walnut Street to East Spruce Street and 32 feet in.width from East Spruce Street to Adams
Avenue; by constructing the necessary curbs; sidewalks and siphons., and by doing all such
other work as may be necessary in connection therevdth.;;all in accordance with _the plans
and specifications therefor to be prepared by the Cty`Engineer .and. filed with'the City
Clerk. _
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Com-
mission to be held at-its offices in the•City Office Building in the City of Yakima,
Vashington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.Me, on Monday,;.. the 14th day. of April,-1930,
which time and place are hereby fixed.for the hearing -bf all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto and for determining the method of payment they
for and the City Clerk is.hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the a,
intention to make the aforesaid improvement-.
The'costs and expenses of said improvement shall be borne by and
assessed, against all of the prope•rty.legally and, properly assessable therefor, as pro-
vided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission
at or prior to the date-fixed-herein-for said hearing, all of the data and other in-
formation required by law to be submitted by him.

RESOLUTION 'NO- B -1122, BE IT- RESOLVED BY THE CITY COIMESSION, OF THE CITY OF YAFITim,
WASHINGTON:
That it .is the intention of the City Commission of .-the- City of
Yakima, Washington, to improve Browne Avenue from Sixteenth Avenue North to Eighteenth.
..Avenue North.,, Eighteenth Avenue North-from-Park Avenue to the north line of Nob Hill
Home Acres, and Park- Avenue from -lest Yakima Avenue-to Eighteenth Avenue North, in the
City of Yakima, W-ashington,.'b y grading and paving the same with a one course Portland
cement concrete pavement 24 feet,in width, by constructing concrete curbs- along both
sides of the pavement of Eighteenth Avenue North:and.Park Avenue., by:constructing six
inch sewer pipe connections from sewers located on the.center lines of.Browne Avenue and
Eighteenth Avenue North, by•constructing a reinforced concrete sidewalk,five feet in
width along the northeasterly side of Park Avenue, by constructing reinforced concrete
culverts across the Natchez and Cowychee Canal on Park Avenue at Eighteenth.Avenue North
and at Park Lane, and by doing all such other work.as may be necessary in connection
therewith, all in accordance with plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by th
City Engineer*
