Moved by Stratton and. - second.ed by Clark that the Minutes of the Meeting of Monday,
December 23rd, 1929, and. ad.jou.rned Meetings thereof be approved. as read: carried,
Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark, that I)ani.el Goodman_ .be appointed. to the office
of Police Judge, to take effect January 1st, 1930, to continue until his successor is
duly appointed. and. has qualified; carried, Stratton, Clark an_d Traub..voting aye 'on
roll call.
Moved by.Clark, seconded. by Traub, that Florence Eschbach be appointed to the office
of Deputy City Clerk, to take effect December 30th, 1929'and to continue until her
successor has been duly appointed. and. has qualified; carried, Stratton., Clark and
Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded. by Clark, that Dr. Henry Sto_rgaard be appointed Health
Officer for the City of Yakima to serve during; the pleasure of the City Commission,
or until his successor has been duly appointed. and has qualified; carried, Stratton,
Clark and Traub voting aye on roll calla
Moved by Traub, seconded by Clark, that the petition by property owners requesting
that an arc light be placed at the corner of Roosevelt and Clark Streets.be referred
to the City Electrical Dept. for investigation; carried, Stratton, Clark and. Traub
voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Stratton, seconded by Clark, that the specifications for hauling garbage
and ashes as read by the City Clerk are hereby approved, and the City.Clerk authorized
to give notice by publication for the hauling of garbage and. ashes for a period of
three years beginning February 1st, 1930, and ending January 1932; said bids to be
redeivec,' on Monday, January 13th, 1930, at the hour.of.10 o'clock A.Tff carried.,

$3,262.50, be accepted -as the lowest and, best bid; carried, Stratton, Clark and
Traub voting aye on roll.call.
Moved by Traub, seconded. by Stratton that an 8x8 chimney flue for the Street Depart-
ment garage be erected by Irvine Longbottom for the sum of $38.40; carried, Stratton,
Clark and Traub.voting aye on roll call.
