Moved by Dudley, seconded by Hedges, that the minutes of the. regular meeting of Monday September 16th,1929, and adjourned meeting thereof be.approved as read'; carried,Dud.le y, ,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call. Moved by Dudley,seconded by Coonse, that the contract for coal for 1930 be alvarded to Wewtern Fuel. Company for the sum of $6.08 per ton,Patrick Mine No.3 run; carried., Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call. Moved by Coonse, seconded. by Hedges, that this being-the time and place for receiving bids for paving Park Avenue in Local Improvement Dist.ri.ct. No.473; • the following were received: Geo- TiT.Savage Company,x4363.70; J.TJ.DeBlasio,�4481.90; the bid. of Geo.TT. Savage and Company being the lowest and-best bid in the sum-of 1?4363.70, said contract was awarded to him and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of said city upon the filing. of the proper bond as required, by law;carried, Dudley,Hed.ges and Coonse voting aye on roll call. Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges , that the paving of Brown Avenue in Local Improve- ment District No..472, be abandoned. for the reason that more than 50% of the property owners in said. district filed a protest against said work;carried,Dud.ley,Hedges and. Coonse voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO.A- 1174.,entitled: "An Ordin4nc..e authorizing a contract between the City of Yakima and Pacific Power & Light. Company, a corporation, 'superseding the existing contract between said City and said Company authorized by .Ordinance No-A-844, and pro- viding for the furnishing by said Company of electrical energy for the operation of the City's ornamental street' lighting system for a period of five (5) years from the lst day of October,1929, the provisions -of such contract being set forth, in this Ordinance, and d.ecla.ring an emergency ", -was introduced by Coonse and read. by the City Clerk.
