Moved by Dudley,seconded. by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
July 29th,,1929, and ad.journed� meeting thereof .be• ap proved as- read.; carried,Dud ley,
Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved: by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the bond of J.M.DeBlasio,, contractor,:, in
Local Improvement Dist-- rict'No. 468, in the sum of $5429.3'3 is hereby approved. and
filed; with the .City Clerk; ca,rried;Dud.ley,Hed.ges and Coonse voting aye. on .,roll• call.
Moved by .Co.onse, seconded by - Hed.ge,s, that the City. Clerk is hereby instructed to
draw, a warrant on the Accident Fund in the sum of •$250..00 to Margaret Goold for
settlement in full for injury sustained by reason of falling on -loose board on Broadway

ORDER OF APPOINTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City. of Yakima,Washington, on the' 29th day of
July,1929, did pass an-ordimance, being Ordinance No-A-1166, providing for the taking
of a census of the persons residing in the corporate limits of such City, and providing
for the appointment by the: Mayor-•e)f said City of thirty persons-to-be designated to
take'the enumeration of inhabitants of said City,
NOW, THEREFORE”, in pursuance to the provisions of said Ord.inance,I.,ti'Villiam
B.Dudley-, the duly appointed,qualified an-d acting Mayor of said City of Yakima,do
hereby appoint the persons, hereinafter named, t•o make said enumeration` and do hereby
further direct that the districts within said City to be allotted.to-sai.d enumerators
respectively shall be the boundaries respectively of each and al 1. of the voting pre-
cincts now in use in said City; ;and; .;I do therefore hereby appoint the following named

of a street lighting system and for the cost of furnishing electric energy .therefor
for a period of five years, said Local - Improvement District being No.469 of said City*

-That.-all of the -bonds to be issued by the City of Yakima, in connection with
said Local Improvement Dis -trict No-469, in connection with. -said. construction.and
maintenance or furl ishing of electric energy therefor,. be sold to said WASHINGTON
iiUTi7AL SAVINGS BANK at par and accrued interest, the City to furnish at least -five
days before delivery-of said bonds to said. Bank, an attorney's opinion approving the
legality of the bonds, the attorney furnishing said opinion to be one sati6factory-to
said Bank and: said Bank's agreement to purchase the-bonds t o ,be •. subject to. the fur-
nishing of said. ,.opinion:.
Said agreement of sale shall further provide that unless.the City shal-l..have
delivered said bonds to the Bank at its banking house in- Seattle,prior to-June 1,1930,
any' obligations' on thel part of said: Bank, to °purchase said bonds shall at: its election
be voidable'-
The Mayor and City Clerk of' said City of Yakima, are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an agreement in writing in duplicate with said Bank for said
sale and purchase erabodyirg the terms herein stated.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjoarnment,Mayor Dudley and Commissioners Hedges
and Coonse voting aye. on roll call.
Moved by Dudley,seconded by Hedges, that a special meeting -bd,.had for.the purpose
of canvassing the returns of the various. enumerators heretofore,; appointed for taking
the City Census. All enumerators having completed the canvass of their respective
precincts, the following canvass is unanimously approved by the City Commission;

and Coonse voting aye on roll .call.
Roved by Coonse, seconded. by Dudley, that the City Engineer having tabulated the bids
on the street lighting system in Local Improvement District No-469; and the bid of
the Valley Electric Company for installation ion having been withdrawn by A.J. Gladson
in the sum of $4650.42, the following bids are hereby accepted as the lowest and best
bids: For furnishing materials, Hudson Electric Store, ?13,812.30; For Installation,
Geo. Milton.Savage Company in the sum of 1,4936.46, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to enter into a contract with said firms upon their filing the
proper bonds therefor;carried,Dudley,Hedges and Coon'se voting aye on roll call.
