The City Commission met in regular session, ?Mayor Dudley and. Commissioners Hedges and.
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Dudley,seconded by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting of'July 15t
1929, be approved as read;carried,Dudley,Hed.ges and. Coonse voting aye on roll. call.
ORDINANCE NO-A-1163, entitled: "An Ordinance providing for the improvement of property in
the City of Yal.ima,lffashin ton, by the construction of a street lighting system and for
the cost and expense of maintaining and of furnishing electric energy to the same for a
period. of five years, establishing a local improvement district, providing for the
method of payment for said. construction and. maintenance and creating a special' fund",
was introdi.? ced by Coonse and. read by the City 'Clerk.
Moved. by Dudley, seconded by Coonse, that Ordinance ITo.A -1163 be passed. to its second.-
reading and read, by title only;carried,Dud.ley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll cal.

Moved by Coonse, seconded by Dud.ley, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to contractors by publication as required by law for furnishing and. delivering
material for the installation of a' street lighting system on. East Walnut Street from
South Front Street to the-east line of South Third Street and other streets in said City
in Local Improvement District No-469; said bids to be received on Monday,August 5th,
1929, at 10 o'clock A.M. carried.,Dud.ley,Hedges :and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
