The City Commission met in regular session,Mayor Dud.ley and Commissioners Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll tali.
Moved by Dudley,second.ed. by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting of TKonday,
July 8th,1929, be approved as read;carried.;Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll
call.
Moved. by Coonse, seconded. by Hedges, that this being the time for receiving bids for
constructing a sidewalk on Division Street -fr.om Ninth to 'Tenth Avenues in Local
Improvement District No-467, the following were received.: J.V.DeBlasio,�373.50; Geo.
Hilton Savage' Company,h315.40; The bid of Geo.I +,1ilton Savage Company in the sum of
X315.40 'being the lowest and best bid, said, contract was awarded to him acid the Mayor
and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract therefor upon filing the proper
bond. as required. by la-vi;carried,Dud.ley,Hedcles and Coonse -voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Coonse, seconded. by Kedges, that this being the time and place for the
hearing -on -Resolution No.B -1084 for constructing a street -lighting system on East
71alnut Street from South Front Street to South Third - Stre.e.t_ and. o.thar. streets in.-the
City of .Yaki, ?ia., and. there being insufficient- protest in writing or otherwise to said,
improvement o.r any part thereof; it is ordered. that the ordinance creating a local
improvement district be laid on the table fnr one week; carried.,Dudley,Hed.ges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.

RESOLUTION NO.B- 1088,.BE IT RESOLVED BY TNY, CITY COMIIMI "SIGN OF TIT, CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is the intention of the City Commission of the City-of Yakima, WaEh ingto
to improve certain streets and. avenues as hereinafter set forth in said City, by the
construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks and-cross walks as follows:
Along the west side of North Fourth Street from E4st "E" Street to the north
line of Block-62; also along the east side of North Fourth Street from East "F"
Street to the north line of Lot 11 in Block 82; also along the north side of Ea t.
"F" Street from North Third Street to tho east .line of the alley in Block 84; als
along both sides of North Naches Avenue from East "H" Street to the north line
o' Blocks 82 and .102; all in the original town of North Yakima, according to th
official plat thereof now on file and Of record in the office'of the Auditor of
Yakima, Count y,Washington9
and by doinit 'all such other work as may be necessaryL.n connection therewith; all side-
walks-and crosswalks south of East "G" Street to be six (6) feet in "wid.th, and all side-
walks north of East "G" Street to be five' (5) feet in width; and that-all of said. work
and improvement shall be in accordance with the plans and. specifications therefor to be
'pre`pared. by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear and present such objections'at a meeting of the City Commission to
-be held at its office in the City Office Buildfng in the City of Yakima, Washingt on,at
the hour of nine o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 5th day of August,1929, which time and place
are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed.-improvement,
all objections thereto, and for determining the method. of payment therefor, and the Cit
Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing 'and of the . intention to
make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expensd of said. improvement shall be borne by and assessed. against
all of the property legally and. properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and
the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission, at or prior to
the date fixed herein for said. hearing, all�of the data and other information required
-by law to be submitted. by him.
