T1-onday, May 13th, 1929, and. adjourned meetint__ thereof be approved as read:: ; carried,

Moved by Coonse; seconded by Hed.ge.s,, that the Pacific Power and Light - Company are
hereby authorized to install arc lights at the following intersections: South
Eighteenth Avenue and Division Street; South Seventeenth Avenue and 11acLaren Street;
South Nineteenth Avenue land J'tFaclaren Street; South Eighteenth Avenue and West
Chestnut Street; North Twenty Second Avenue and Summitview Avenue; West Yakima
Avenue and Twenty Second Avenue; West Yakima Avenue and Twenty Fourth Avenue; 'Jest
Yakima Avenue and Twenty Sixth Avenue and Twenty Third Avenue and Barge Street;
carr-ied,Di,;.dley,Hedges and Coonse voting -aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges,. that this being the time and: place for the
hearing on Resolution No-B-1076 to improve Vilest Chestnut Street from Seventeenth
Avenue South to Twenty Eighth Avenue South and.E'ighteenth Avenue South from 'vest
Yakima Avenue to West Chestnut Street by grading and paving same -and no objections
being prevented in writing or otherwsie -to said improvement or any -part thereof
except the written protest of Elizabeth-Snively representing .0479ei of
the property included in said improvement district, it is ordered that the ordinance
creating a Local Improvement District for said improvement be laid on _the table for
one week;.carried,Dud ley, Hedges and Coonse voting aye on -roll call. -
ORDINANCE NO.A -1152, entitled: An Ordinance providing for the issuance of $80,000.0
of general ,-negotiable , interest bearing -coupon bonds of the City of- Yakima, in
accordance with Ordinance, No-A-1144, passed by-the City Commission-April 1.5th,1929,
providing for the form and details of such bonds, the establishment of proper funds
for the payment of principal and interest -t ,:ereof,- providing for the sale thereof
and declaring an emergency ", was introduced. by Coonse and read by the City Clerk.

give notice to - bidders as required by law for 5 weekly issues beginning on the 21st

NOTICE TO -BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City of Yak ima,11ashington, hereby offers
f b r sale. the following described bonds , to -wit
Its gene ral,negotiable, interest bearing coupon bonds for the principal sun
of $80,000.00 to .bear date July lst,1929, and mature serially -in from two to twenty
years, payable in nineteen equal annual -install-irient•s (including principal and
interest) , as near as may be, -commencing with the second year after the date of said
bonds; for the purpose of redeeming certain outstanding warrants issued on the
Municipal ':Water Fund;said bonds to draw •interest at a rate not to exceed 5 per cent
pe r. annum, . payable . semi- annually.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that sealed bids will be received by the City of
Yakima,. at the office of the City Clerk at the City Hall of said City of Yakima,
Washington, up to the hour of 10 o'clock A.M. on the 20th day of June,1929, for the
purchase of said issue of bonds, at which tirne said sealed bids will beL' publicly
open6d-and considered. Said bids shall specify (a) the lowest rate of interest
and premium, if any, above par at which-such bidder will purchase said bond.s;. or,
(b) the lowest rate of interest at which the bidder will purchase said bonds at par,
the bonds to be sold to the bidder making the best-bid, subject to the right of the
corporate authorities to reject any and-all bids and re- advertise.
All bids shall be sealed and except the -bid of
one is received, shall be accompanied by a deposit of 5
certified check of the amount of the bid, which will be
accepted. All bids must be unconditional. The exact
bonds are as provided in Ordinance No-A"1144, passed by
15th,1929, and also Ordinance No-A-1152; passed by the
